Stage II

NEGREIRA - OLVEIROA - (33 Kms)

The route starts from Negreira´s hostel in the direction of Noia´s road. We take a detour that will take us to San Xián church. We pass the atrium of this church and along narrow streets we begin a small climb along a path through the forest until we reach Zas village.

The path continues along a dirt path, which leads us directly to A Pena village. Along Camino Real we reach Vilaserío village, which has a modest refuge. This place was the old school and recently some mats and hot water have been installed.

The paths are straight and flat along quiet dirt tracks until Maroñas and Santa Mariña villages. From here we continue and reach Bon Xesús and Vilar do Castro villages.
We find in this point Monte Aro place, where we can clim this mountain and have a fantastic Xallas river reservoir views.

Here we begin the descent towards Corzón village and just one kilometre away is the place of Ponte Olveira, where the water of Xalla´s river mark the last two kilometres until we reach Olveiroa.

OLVEIROA´S HOSTEL

This hostel was set up by the old school house from the 19th century and two traditional houses with a service module.

The hostel owner is Galicia´s Goverment and it has a capacity of 34 places and one of these places is for people with disabilities.
It´s open from 5.00pm and it´s available during the year.
