Dugium City
From the Roman Age a lot of remains have been discovered in Duio´s parish. These remains testify the existence of an important population.
Nerios Celtic tribe inhabited these lands and it may be that they had their main settlement in Duio´s area.
It was a cosmopolitan city with an intense commercial activity. The city was ruled by Lupa Queen who played an important and decisive role in the location of Santiago Apostol´s tomb. The Queen refused to bury him in her lands.
