Fisterra´s Fish Market it´s a building designed by the architect Covadonga Carrasco López, who is part of the Creus & Carrasco firm. This market is considered the first tourist fish market in Galicia.

The fish market was built between 2004 and 2006 and it was opened in 2008.

This is a 2,658 square metre project with a bulding for a new fish market, shipowners and port offices. It also has a space for its tourist function with space for information and exhibition material.

It was the first fish market to incorporate its daily fish and shellfish sales activities into tourism.

In this way, the project combines port and tourism activities.

In this fish market you can attend the traditional fish auction. There are walkways through which visitors can take a tour inside the fish market and they have access to a place where they can see the fish auction behind a large glass window.

Materials like glass, metal, aluminum sheeting... were used  in the building construction.

Visits are possible during the year, but you must consult previously with Fisterra fishermen´s guild.
