Santa María das Areas Cross

This Cross shaped as Crucifix type.

The platform is quadrangular with three degrees.

It has an octagonal pedestal and it is finished with chamfers.The Cross´s column is octagonal.

The capital is octagonal and smooth with leavesand flowers.

The cross has Gothic style.

DESCRIPTION:

Obverse: It shows a crucified Christ with three nails, he bows his head to the right and his hands are open. It has a crown of thorns and a loincloth. He is accompanied by the Virgin and Saint John.

Reverse: It has a Virgin with a child. 

It was buit with granite.
