Veladoiro Mount or Ship Cape

This atlantic look-out, located 243 m over the sea level is, geographically talking, the Galicia westest point.

Its impressive cliffs are witness of several shipwrecks occurred in this Costa da Morte waters..

From there you can attend the best panoramics of the Sun Disappearance, when the sun is gulped down by the ocean waters, a phenomenon which captivate a lot ot people since long ago.

This zone, which take in Veladoiro and Pión Mounts, has a singular and wild natural beauty. A little far north way you can find Punta Castelo, where ended its day’s run the sadly noted cargo boat Casón on 1987.

At this headland we located the settlement of the Castro de Castromiñán, very interesting antique city set in a glade of the cliff, defended by the ocean unceasing dashing.
